Cold be damned.

I bought a heated jacket liner this winter and just started using it. Boy, does it ever make a difference. It has three settings - low, medium and high - but I can't imagine ever needing to turn it above medium. The only time I wasn't sweating with it on medium was when I was on the interstate at 70+ mph for about 15 miles.

If your core is warm it makes it a lot easier to keep the rest of you warm. I don't particularly like the feeling of layers and layers of gear, but since it makes the difference between riding and not riding I guess I'll keep swaddling myself in stuff.Ricknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776318709416054670.post-88480418168311141542011-03-30T00:02:15.334-04:002011-03-30T00:02:15.334-04:00Brrrrrrrrr! One of my first trips this year will be to Motorworks in Chicago to finally have one installed. Even if it makes my scooter, "less sexy" I am tired of being buffeted by that wind.Belkwinithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14676987502667287358noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7776318709416054670.post-1867286167624727092011-03-29T22:45:18.205-04:002011-03-29T22:45:18.205-04:00It truly is all about the gear. So, I keep experimenting. I'm good down into the 20F's with liners and snowmobile claw gloves, but below that and my fingers get cold.

Glad you got out and about. Good luck.
~KeithKeith - Circle Bluehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11992667666539622569noreply@blogger.com
