Tuscan Loop - What to wear?

After hemming and hawing, with a little dithering for good measure, I decided.

The 2013 Blogger to Blogger Tour featured the BMW Airflow, the 2014 Blogger to Blogger Tour will feature the Corazzo 5.0.

It may not be cast in concrete, but it might as well be, since I devoted hours this weekend to sewing the MV Italia patch on the Corazzo. The choice is perfect. It's what you might call a patch match. The red in the centre of the rondel matches the red centre stripe on the 5.0.

Clearly it was meant to be. If memory serves, Sonja called it.

The patch looks pretty good on the jacket. Only a few more days, right?

Richard, Wednesday in Venice. As Bob would say, two more sleeps. 188 was the best I could do with the weight challenge, at least for now.

Pizza and pasta await!

David:

Two sleeps may turn out to be only one sleep and a very long day of anticipation. I have also relapsed. From being under 180 for a couple of days I'm back up to 181.5 and I've been hardly eating.

Don't worry about the pizza and pasta, it's all Lo cal over in Italy don't deprive yourself of good food whilst on vacation. You can adjust later when you get back

your jacket and patch is looking good. This may lead to a new vocation

Have a good trip

Good challenge. I made it to 186 and have floated up and down a couple of pounds from there. Pizza and pasta are evil...

(Ignore Bob!)

Richard, I'm not positive they're necessarily evil. After all, you don't see anywhere near as many obese people in Italy as you do here. I think it's our fast food and processed food culture that's the real evil.

Thanks for being there for the challenge, it made a real difference.

I'm sincerely trying to make this a change in lifestyle. So it might become a permanent fixture.

Finally, Bob is a remarkable human being, like most bloggers, including your kind self, so he's hard to ignore.

Thanks Richard.

Bob, I am amazed at my patch sewing skills, really I am. My only issue is my colour-blindness, so I got Susan to pick the thread. After that it's just patience, and the occasional unintended jab of the needle into an unsuspecting finger.

Sewing onto the reflective strips was a chore. But slow and easy does it.

The badge of the holy grail looks really at home mate.
I think it goes perfectly .

David, the Italian cuisine has so much more to offer than pizza and pasta. Tuscany is also known for its culinary expertise. You'll love it.

Looking good David. A nice choice for the tour and a great patch placement.

Sonja, I am looking forward to it, as I am sure are you.

We'll be in touch.

Len, "... badge of the Holy Grail..." well said and quite funny, seeing all that I had to endure to get it, not to mention the cost.

In those circumstances, "perfect" was not too much to hope for.

Brandy, Susan and I believe in fate. The red of the patch and the red of the stripe couldn't match more if they had been designed for each other. That's fate.

David - you've decided what to pack, picked a suitable ensemble to wear ... you are definitely set to go.

Patch Match.....thanks David :)

Karen, I'm just seeing this post now. I must have been too pre-occupied with packing.

It turns out that with the benefit of hindsight, the only thing I forgot was my buff. Could have used it when I took a bee or wasp to the neck somewhere on the road back to Pontedera.

Cute Danielle. I think that once we lose our childish traits, it's a slippery slope to elderly curmudgeonhood.
