I have an aunt that goes to Banff at least once a year to ski (well when she was younger she did). She often said it was as if a piece of heaven fell to earth.

I miss Banff. When we lived in Penticton we used to go there quite a bit. Since my mom lived in Calgary it was on the way. Always stunning views, but I am sure it has changed since we were there 15 years ago.
Beautiful scenery for sure ... glad you got to enjoy with the family.
