Bob Leong

I just got word that Bob Leong passed away in his sleep in Nashville.

My very deepest sympathies to Yvonne and his children.

Bob touched us very deeply.  This is difficult beyond words.

There will be more to say, but not now.

Feel so bad for Yvonne and family, Bob was a great guy although I never met him but followed his blog daily for many years even though I don't blog. I enjoyed all his friends and fellow bloggers. I will miss him!!!

My deepest sympathies for your loss.
Sincerely
Dennis Hitchcock

So sad to hear the news, but thank you for letting us know David. If you hear Yvonne needs anything please let us know, we aren't that far away from Vancouver.

He will be missed.

I spoke to Yvonne and to Ryan today. They are grieving but are very strong.

There were no signs of trouble. The doctors say it was a heart attack in his sleep. I don't think he suffered.

There is a lesson there. Don't postpone. Live life to the fullest. Bob died as he lived. Doing what he loved, with little fuss and quietly without calling attention to himself.

I always said that Bob knew and had personally met more bloggers and riders than any other human being.

Let's put our noggins together and dream up a fitting and lasting bloggers' tribute to this remarkable man. With Ryan's help we might be able to use Wet Coast Scootin in that endeavour.

There's time. No rush.

RIP Bob. My first contact when I moved to Vancouver, my motorcycle buddy. He who introduced me to crocs, and sushi. He was special, he was Bobskoot. My heart goes out to Yvonne and his family. I am so sad.

Thanks Doug. Getting used to life without Bob is going to be tough.

... and Bob introduced me to you and Roland, and look where that led. Roland got his wish from his Rider profile interview.

David, I was bereft this morning when Brandy messaged me and then came to read on your blog. I am so sad. He was a wonderful man who was generous to a fault and kindness was in his soul, he gave freely of himself to his friends, bloggers, and strangers. I was thrilled when I met him the first time at the Vancouver Motorcycle show and it felt like we had been friends forever. He was a vibrant soul who touched many and I think my life will be sadder without him in it. RIP Bob. My condolences to Yvonne and family.

Dar, as I read your comment none of this seems real. All I have in my mind's eye is Bob supervising the Corvettes being loaded for the trip to Pennsylvania. I can't shake the feeling that he's just driving through the mid-west vaguely headed back to Vancouver.

Oh David thank you for posting this. I am so so so very saddened by this news. Bob was a gift of friendship and I will never forget his vibrancy for riding and just meeting us all. I will always cherish our lunch with laughter. So sad...

Many like us connected through Bob's six degrees of separation.

Thanks Katy. Words fail me. In some very real ways Bob was like the brother I never had.

Thanks for posting.

So true David. Bob was a life life daily kind of guy. I think that is why he touched so many. He just did it.

David, just catching up on the news here in Berlin and I come upon this post. How very sad, and how glad I am to have met Bob. He will be missed.

Missed for sure. But his spirit lives on in the blogosphere.

Berlin! That's a little from your tractor.

I rode with Bob for a sort time in Sept. 2013. He like me was taking a ride into the interior, via Duffy Lake road to Lillooet. Pulled over at a rest stop and chatted for awhile, like you do with other bikers you meet along the way. Nice guy. Ride the big gig in the sky pal. Alex.

Alex, I remember Bob's post on that meeting.

Thanks for stopping by.

Ride safe.
